The best way to experience Alberobello is getting lost in the cluster of white, dry stone huts, unique in the world.  If you love wine, Apulia offers the opportunity to taste prestigious labels and great vintages, often combined with other local specialities that will also delight your palate. And for a well-rounded experience, go directly to the wineries that produce the wine. Tasting their wines on the spot and visit the winery and vineyards is an awesome opportunity. Universally renowned for its octagonal shape, it is masterpiece of medieval architecture and it also, an emblematic expression of multifaceted personality of Frederic II of Swabia, keen on mathematics, poetry, philosophy and astronomy. We explore the site with a local guide before stopping in Trani for a delicious meal at an excellent seafood restaurant overlooking the sea. Trani, a slow food city (do try the local dessert wine: “moscato di Trani”) whose pièce de résistance is a magnificent Swabian fortress and the wonderful Romanesque cathedral.  Return to the masseria or Hotel. Dinner in a local restaurant, and overnight stay.

Today we have a cooking class at Apluvia's Home!  Cooking with locals, mums and chefs in a casual and friendly environment: classes are hands–on, using the freshest of ingredients and sampling olive oil and wine produced directly on the grounds. You will learn how to prepare the typical Apulian pasta “orecchiette” (little ears). Your guide will follow you during the cooking lesson, while you prepare pasta, bread or the focaccia and explaining some of Puglia’s main dishes. Just the time to take off the apron, and Lunch is ready to be tasted together with a fabulous local wine.  After seeing the white historic quarters of Ceglie Messapica, we head back to the masseria.
